Singapore's Lost Railways - The Introduction

Singapore's Lost Railways - The Introduction
Hello to you dear reader. According to my statistics from both the Opinion and the Personal Corner, 99.5% of all of my viewers live in Singapore, which big surprise, is where I live. I hope I don't upset the 0.5% of viewers. So allow me to explain my idea...

On 28th March 2021, fellow YouTuber Geoff Marshall announced his plan to explore some of London's lost railways. There are 13 episodes of London's Lost Railways as of the writing of this article. Which gave me an idea. How many railway lines did Singapore have? So, I drilled down the rabbit hole...

Now I assume you are thinking the same thing as most of my friends are. You probably think that that rabbit hole I drilled must have been very shallow. Most Singaporeans, including me before researching, think that the only 'old railway' in Singapore is the Malaysia-Singapore Railway that closed in 2011. (This is one of the railways I am going to explore) But there are more. From a railway that ran across Orchard Road, to a tramway that ran to Pasir Panjang.

The Details and The Plan
So in total, there are 4 old railway lines worth exploring. They are:

1) Singapore-Kranji Railway
2) Jurong Line
3) Singapore-Malaysia Railway
4) Singapore Steam Tramway + Electric Trolleybus
